Right, let's be upfront - this isn't your typical agency 'about us' page dressed up as a blog post. We're going to tell you who we actually are, how We Are Jungle came to exist, and what working with us is really like. No corporate waffle, just the honest version.
How it all started
We Are Jungle was started by Brad about five years ago. At the time he was working at a web agency in London - good experience, solid work, but always in the back of his mind was the question of when, not if, he would go it alone.
The nudge came when the word redundancy started doing the rounds. Instead of worrying about it, Brad took it as the sign he had been waiting for. He went full time with We Are Jungle and didn't look back. No big safety net, no grand strategy - just a genuine belief that he could build something better than what he'd seen.
The goal was simple: build good websites, be straight with clients, never sell them something they don't actually need, and treat every project like it matters. Five years in, that still hasn't changed.
Enter Kay
Kay had been part of We Are Jungle behind the scenes from early on - the kind of support that makes a real difference but doesn't always get the credit. (She would like us to point out she is absolutely fine with that. She is not.)
In early 2025, Kay came on board properly - and the honest reason is this: We Are Jungle had grown to the point where Brad couldn't look after clients the way they deserved. The whole point of starting the agency was to give clients a genuinely good service. When the workload got heavy enough that the service started slipping - even slightly - that was the thing that had to change. Not the work. Not the prices. The service.
Kay comes from a private healthcare background where looking after people isn't just a job requirement, it's the entire point. Managing clients, making sure they feel heard, chasing things down before they become problems - that all came naturally to her. She hit the ground running, took on full client management, and made sure everyone actually knew what was happening with their project.
Between the two of us, we've got the build side and the people side properly covered - which, if we're being honest, is exactly what was missing before.
What we believe in
If you stripped everything back, it comes down to three things:
Don't sell clients things they don't need. If a simpler solution exists, we'll say so. We'd rather lose the work than lose your trust.
Build it properly. No page builders, no off-the-shelf themes, no shortcuts. Every site is custom, clean, and built to last.
Stay involved. A website isn't a project you hand over and walk away from. We stick around - our support plans make sure of it.

Why Portsmouth?
Portsmouth is home. We work with clients right across the UK - from London to Edinburgh - but we're rooted on the south coast. It's a city that doesn't get enough credit: a strong creative community, good universities, and a genuinely growing digital sector.
