Web Design

Bespoke web design services

Bespoke web design for growing businesses that have outgrown a template. UX, UI, website redesigns and conversion-focused new builds - designed around your business, not adjusted to fit it. All in-house, all custom, and all built to earn their keep.

What bespoke web design actually means

Bespoke means the site is designed around your business, not adjusted from a template that was designed around nobody in particular. Every layout decision has a reason. Every page exists because a user needs it. Every interaction is built to guide someone from arrival to the action you want them to take, not just to look nice on the way through.

Lightweight JavaScript for all front-end interactivity. Small footprint, powerful enough for everything we need.

Statamic

Statamic

Our recommended CMS for most new builds. Flat-file, fast, and genuinely easy to manage - our preferred platform.

WordPress

WordPress

We build in WordPress when clients need it - familiar, widely supported, and powerful when set up and configured correctly.

HTML5

HTML5

Semantic, accessible markup that forms the backbone of every site we build - structured for performance, SEO, and screen readers.

CSS3

CSS3

Modern CSS for layouts, animations, and visual polish. We write clean, maintainable styles that work across every browser and device.

JavaScript

JavaScript

Progressive JavaScript for interactive elements and dynamic behaviour - only loaded where it's needed, never as unnecessary overhead.

G

GSAP

Industry-standard animation library for scroll-triggered effects, page transitions, and polished motion design.

What We Design For

Every design decision we make comes back to these three commitments.

Conversion-Focused Design

Every layout decision is made with your business goals in mind. We design for outcomes, not just aesthetics - and every element on the page is there for a reason.

Mobile-First, Always

Every design is built for mobile from the first wireframe. Not adapted after the fact - considered from the very start.

Brand Consistency

Your design system should be coherent across every page and every touchpoint. We build it to be consistent and scalable - no ad-hoc decisions as the project grows.

Our Process

Our web design process

Discovery through to handover, one step at a time. Collaborative, thorough, and built around your goals.

Discovery & Strategy

We start by understanding your business, your users, and what you need the website to do. Sitemap, user journeys, content structure - all planned before design begins.

Visual Design

We design key pages in high fidelity - exactly how they'll look in the browser. You see and sign off the design before a single line of code is written.

Refinement & Approval

We incorporate your feedback, refine the design, and get final sign-off. Structured rounds of amends keep the project moving without going in circles.

Build, Test & Launch

Approved designs go to development for a pixel-perfect build. Full cross-browser and device testing before we go live - then a 72-day warranty period as standard.

UX and UI

UX and UI design

UX design and UI design are not the same thing and both matter. UX is the invisible work: user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, how a visitor gets from arrival to the action you need them to take. UI is what they see: layout, typography, colour, spacing, the visual system that ties it all together.

We do both in-house, without handing off between agencies. UX research and wireframes come first, so the structure is right before anyone picks a colour. Then visual design against those wireframes, in high fidelity, so what gets signed off is what gets built. If a project needs formal user testing or click-tests we bring in a specialist, but the vast majority of work is answered by the discovery call, the sitemap, and looking honestly at the analytics on the existing site.

Website Redesign

Website redesign services

Most of the design work we do is a redesign. A business has outgrown a site that was fine three years ago, or the design has drifted through decisions nobody quite made deliberately, or a rebrand has left the site behind. Sometimes the site was built by another agency who has moved on, and the version now on the internet is the version that was launched then patched.

A redesign is a chance to fix what the old site got wrong without losing what it got right. That means understanding what the current site is doing (the analytics, the URLs that get traffic, the pages that convert) before we redesign anything, so the parts that are earning their keep survive the move. Rankings, internal links and the URLs Google trusts get preserved wherever they can be. Nothing gets thrown out on aesthetic grounds if it is quietly bringing you leads.

CS Garden Offices came off Wix that way. The Google Ads campaign kept running against the old site while the new one was built in staging. When we switched over, tracking was set up against the new URLs on day one and the ad account did not miss a beat.

B2B and Growing Businesses

Web design for B2B and growing businesses

Most of our design work is B2B. Delta-Xero build industrial filtration systems for safety-critical environments. QVIS manufacture lighting and security equipment for a technical audience. MRG Effitas run cybersecurity testing for enterprise clients. The common thread is a business selling something considered, to a buyer who wants substance before they get to price.

B2B web design is a different discipline to consumer web design. Buyers arrive with a specific technical question and give up faster if the answer is buried. Case studies, downloadable specs, product filtering and clear differentiation matter more than a big hero video. Trust signals are different too - real accreditations, real named clients, real numbers.

That is the discipline we build to. Content architecture that gets people to the answer fast. Design that reads as serious without being dull. Proof that stands up to a specifier or a procurement team looking for reasons to move on.

Deliverables

What is included in our web design service

Every web design project includes:

  • Discovery A structured kick-off covering the business, the audience, the goals and the constraints. Sitemap and content structure agreed before anything visual starts.

  • UX wireframes Low-fidelity structure for every core page type, signed off before visual design begins.

  • Visual design High-fidelity comps of every core page in the browser sizes that matter. Design system, typography, colour, iconography, imagery direction, all documented.

  • Refinement Structured rounds of amends. Feedback is scoped so the project moves forward each round rather than looping.

  • Design handover to development Clean design files, component notes and asset export. If we are also building the site, this happens internally.

  • Launch QA Review of the built site against the approved design across the browsers and devices that matter to your audience.

The proof is in the praise

Don't just take our word for it. See how our work impacts the people who matter most.

Jo Hilder

MRG Effitas

Working with We Are Jungle on the MRG Effitas website was a great experience. From briefing to completion the team was friendly, creative and efficient.

Their consultative approach meant we ended up with a well structured, well optimised website that encourages conversion. As leaders in cybersecurity testing, our site also had to be highly secure.

The end result is a website that feels far more aligned with who we are today as a company - cleaner, more professional, easier to navigate and much stronger from both a branding and customer experience perspective.

FAQs

Web design frequently asked questions

Bespoke web design means the site is designed around the business, not adjusted to fit a template. Every page, section and interaction is planned against what the audience needs to do and what the business needs them to do. Nothing on the page exists because a theme happened to include it. Nothing is missing because the template did not support it.

Web design is planning what the site looks like, how it is structured, and how visitors move through it. Web development is turning that design into working code. Both are needed, both are done in-house here, and both are covered by the web development service. On most projects the same people are involved in both, which cuts out the usual handover friction.

Custom design and build projects start from £4,500 + VAT. Design-only projects (where another team will do the development) sit lower. Larger builds with e-commerce, integrations or extensive UX work run higher. Every project is scoped individually and quoted fixed before it starts. Full pricing is on the pricing page.

Typically 3 to 5 weeks for the design phase alone, sitting inside a total project timeline of 8 to 12 weeks for a standard build. Bigger builds run longer. You get a target date at kick-off and a fixed launch window before development starts.

Two full rounds of design amends at each stage, plus a final tidy-up. Every round is scoped so the project moves forward rather than looping. If a project needs more than that, we discuss the reason honestly rather than just billing more rounds.

Yes. Most of our design work is a redesign. We review the existing site first (analytics, traffic sources, converting pages) so what is working gets preserved and what is not gets replaced. Rankings and URL history are protected wherever we can, and we handle the migration end to end.

Don't Settle for a Website That Just Looks Pretty

Good web design isn't decoration - it's strategy. If your site isn't converting visitors, it's costing you. Let's fix that.
